Inflation in Germany stabilized at 1.6% last month

Germany's inflation rate stabilized last April at the previous estimate, data from the German Federal Statistics Office showed Wednesday.
The inflation rate in April last 1.6% per annum, the same rate as in March, and the same rate as announced according to preliminary estimates issued on 30 April.
At the same time, the CPI stabilized during April compared to the previous month, after rising by 0.4% per month last March.
Energy prices rose last month by 1.3 percent.
The annual inflation rate in Germany according to the European Union common index 1.4% in April, the same as the previous estimates, while the rate in March last 1.5%. The monthly inflation rate according to the consolidated index during the last month was minus 0.1%.
